Hello! I am Jen Zeiger, lampwork artist and jewelry designer. I guess I can say that I have always been crafty, and have made it a point to surround myself in art. I even went to school to get a degree in art, and graduated from Kent State University with a BFA degree in Jewelry Design in December of 2005.
Later in December 2005 I discovered the art of lampworking. The second I picked up the glass and lit the torch I knew it was all over and I was hooked. I started out with a small portable torch in a room at my parents house because I was living in an apartment at the time. Then I July of 2006 my husband and I bought our first house and I finally had my own studio. That was one of the reasons we bought the house because it had a separate room in the basement that I could use as a studio. I then bought myself a professional torch and everything else I needed to start my business, and that is when zbeadz.com was born.
Since then my mom and I have also opened our own business called "Bead Boutique". It is a bead store in North Canton where women can come in and get supplies to take home, or stay and work on their things here so they can get help from us.
