"Sale Time!"
It’s that time of year…..SALE time!  January and July are traditionally my slow months so I have a little extra time to make beads.  The sale is the same as always….buy three get one free within the same category.  Example:  If you purchase three sets you get a fourth set free, or if you purchase three single beads you get a fourth single bead free.  When ordering never add your free set to your order, always write the name of the free items in the message box when checking out.  I will run the sale for as long as I can handle the work load.  Once it becomes too much and I’m about three weeks out on shipping I’ll stop the sale. Sometimes it goes for one day and sometimes it’s been three days I never know.  Shipping on these beads is first come first serve.  If your order within the first three orders the will go out by Monday and after that it gets longer.  I’ll email you your expected shipping date when I receive your order.  If you have any questions please feel free to email me.  Have fun shopping and thank you for supporting my site!

"5 Months"
Can you believe that Emma is 5 months old already!?!?  This time just goes by so fast that it's hard to believe.  We spent some time taking pictures last night for her 5 month birthday and this is my favorite.....always a happy baby.
I know here eyes look dark in this picture but they are definitely blue....just like Josh and Anderson.  I'm the only one with brown; I guess my "dominant" gene isn't that strong...haha.
Anderson has been doing a lot better with Emma and has even started to become protective of her.  He also wants her to go every where we go.  One day josh was joking with him saying that he was taking Emma to the store with him and Anderson almost started crying.  At least he acts like he likes her cause he doesn't always show it:)  Here he is playing with her....a usually rare moment that's becoming more common.
I love this picture:)

Ok....here are the new beads.  I'd update more but Miss. Emma is sitting on my lap screaming as I type:)

"New Beads"

Just a quick update with new beads and pictures of the kids.  My computer at home is slowly dieing so it's been hard for me to put pictures on the site.  It literally takes me 5 min. to add one picture from home!  I think a new computer is in our future.  I have two new bead sets tonight and three focals.  I've been messing around with silver leaf and raku glass; I liked the designs so much that I made a few focals.  Each bead is a one of a kind and can not be remade because of the reaction between the glass and leaf....therefore there is only one of each available.

"New Beads"
New beads today!  I have two very different sets to share with you today.  The first, (my personal favorite) is "Mystic Mix-up".  Seven black beads with a reactive glass that gives off purples, various blues, and a hint of tan....yummy!  I love to make asymmetrical bracelets so this is my kind of bead set.
Mystic Mix-up
Second is "Grey and White".  These beads aren't super exciting by themselves but add a bit of sterling silver and some black crystals and you'll have a bracelet that will go with almost any outfit.

"On to the Holidays"
The holidays.....my favorite time of year.  Yummy food, warm sweaters, family, Christmas lights, and of course snow!  We headed to the mall the other day and as we were walking in we saw a few flakes falling from the sky but that's it so far.  Anderson decided he wanted to stop and visit Santa...which he has never done before.  It took a few seconds before he would come close to him but once he did he didn't stop talking.  He told Santa he wanted more Magna-tiles (his favorite toy) and lots of snow.  Santa said he'll send some snow our way:)  He also told Santa that baby Emma needed another Nunu.  Nunu's are those little blankets with a stuffed animal attached to them...she has a kitty one that she likes but according to Anderson she needs another; at least he thought of her.  Before we left Santa gave him a candy cane which Anderson gave back in exchange for another one because the first one was broken....you know it never tastes right if it's broken...lol.  I wish he would have sat on Santa's lap for a picture but that's probably pushing it; maybe next year.
Can you believe that Emma is three months old already?!?!  She is such a happy baby and a wonderful sleeper.  Mommy is well rested these days and I'm knocking on wood in hopes that things don't change any time soon.  Anderson is interacting with her a little more but not much.  She started laughing last night when he was playing with his cars and he looked at her and said, "thank you baby Emma".  He thought it was pretty neat that she was laughing at him.  I think once she can interact with him a little more he might become more of a baby Emma fan....we can only hope:)
I have a new special for you today.  In the spirit of gift giving I am going to make two extra earring beads to match each set you purchase.  You can then keep them for yourself or make them into a gift for someone special.  These beads will be the 12mm rounds you see in most of my sets.  Thank you so much to all of you that have been placing your holiday order....I've been a busy girl:)  I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and I'll post new beads soon.

"Crazy Week"
What a hectic week it has been!  Sunday night Anderson woke up coughing so hard he could barely talk.  The more he coughed the more upset he got until it reached the point that he was having trouble breathing.  The poor little guy was so scared that he couldn't stop coughing.  Josh and I finally got him settled down but he was still having trouble getting in air so we packed up the baby at midnight and flew to the emergency room.  Thank goodness it's only five minutes down the highway!  They checked him out and diagnosed him with croup.  Three hours later after an x-ray, some liquid steroids, and a breathing treatment we were headed home with one sick little boy.  He was a little better the next day but not much.  I had to take Emma in for a shot yesterday and the doctor heard him coughing and prescribed him three steroid tablets which have helped tremendously!  He's on the mend now and hopefully will be 100% for Trick or Treating on Sunday...(which is also his birthday).  Anderson has hardly ever been sick and we have definitely never been to the emergency room with him....what a scary night!  Emma never even woke up until we were home....lol.  For all she knows she was still sleeping in her crib that whole time:)
On a happier note we have been doing a lot of fun things around the house and with friends lately.  I know I mentioned in the previous blog about the "Fun Learning" activities we have been doing.  Here are some pictures to show what we have been up to.
This is a giant bubble we made with our friends.  all you need is two plastic drop clothes (we used 20x10), duct tape, and a small fan.  We left a hole open for the fan and a hole to climb in the bubble.
Look how big it was!  Later we put leaves and balls inside for the boys to play with.
This is Anderson painting with colored ice cubes.  Just a few drops of food coloring and you have colored ice to paint with.
This is our most recent activity....paint bags.  Just fill a zip lock with paint, tape it to a sunny window, and squish away!  The sun shines through the paint and makes it look like it's glowing.  It's a great way to practice ;letters and numbers which is what we did.
It's pretty cold this weekend so I'm sure many of our future days will be filled with indoor activities.
I also have some new beads for you today......all large hole charm beads.
The first two sets are a new shape...more of a barrel.  They look great on the Pandora style bracelets, alone on a chain, or in a textile bracelet/necklace with dyed silk.  A lot of the hand dyed silks we carry our store front are beautiful Fall colors...I'll have to try some designs.

"Fun Learning"
Recently one of my girlfriends shared a site with me that's all about fun learning with kids.  I have always found fun things for Anderson to do but this site takes it to a whole new level!  If you have kids of any age then you must visit this link....http://playathomemom3.blogspot.com/
I have been making sensory bins for Anderson each day and he absolutely loves it.  He is now asking for an "activity" every morning instead of asking for his shows.  Not only does he have fun playing in the bin but I have fun making them for him and watching what he does with each item.

I have also become addicted to a new site....Pinterest.  I don't have an iphone so I have to "pin" from my computer.  It's amazing the ideas, product, and recipes you find that other people have pinned.  If you have pinterest on your phone then please email me so I can follow you.

I have been trying to get back in the groove of making new beads and I am now waiting on a switch for my 2nd generator so I can have my setup at home again.  I had taken everything back to work when I started working again but I just don't have enough time while I am there.  I was originally going to be working three days but I am now down to two.  It's just a lot on my mom to watch both kids so I am home on Thursdays now too.  Hey...I get tired and I'm 29....I know it's a lot more tiring for her!!!!  Plus, I'll get to spend more time with the babies.  I never imagined I would be a stay at home mom????  Yes I still work two days but that's hardly anything.  Not that I ever wanted to work away from the kids at all times but I always assumed that me having a job would be a must for our family.  I'll enjoy my time home while I can:)
I'll be back soon with new pictures of the babies and some new beads as well.  I hope you have an amazing week!
